It is not a big deal about who a handler is, but, if the judge can't see the
dog, the judge can't put up the dog!! A good handler makes a good dog look
good. An unskilled handler can make a good dog not even be seen!!
Judges at all-breed shows don't have the luxury of time to have a dog taken
around over and over until they see what they want to see, like many Specialty
judges do.
A good handler is aware of this and shows off the dog's strong points right
away. There is no time to play with your dog in an all-breed ring...even if it
IS fun!!
BTW, when did you start using the word, "should" and "shouldn't?" There is
no such thing!!! :-) :-)
