There are conflicting opinions as to what constitutes a good dog: Some believe that it is a dog that competes and wins at specialties. Some believe that it is a dog that competes and wins in the all breed ring. Folks, I believe that since there is ONE STANDARD, there is one ring; it might be a small all breed ring or a large specialty ring. Both are great to showcase our dogs. Dogs should be able to win in BOTH. If there is a schism between all breeds and specialties, PEOPLE have caused it. If breeders breed to the standard, the size of the ring shouldn't matter.
