It is funny how much this Grand Champion thing has hit. When I first heard
of it, I thought it was nothing that would appeal to anyone. I guess it
is like Reserve. All we want is the points. Nothing matters, we want the
points. We win the class, we want the points. We go in for points, we want the
points. Then we don't get the points.
We immediately want the Reserve. All we want is the Reserve. The Reserve
is the most important thing, the instant the other dog gets the points. If
we can get the Reserve, we will be happy, if only the judge will give us
the Reserve.
Then we want the Breed. Nothing means anything, we want the Breed. Never
mind Best Opposite Sex, we want the Breed. The Breed is the thing, up to
the instant we don't get the Breed, then in an instantaneous change of heart,
we want Best Opposite Sex, and nothing else. Just give us Best Opposite
Sex, that is all we want. When we don't get Best Opposite Sex, all we want
are Grand Champion Points. That is what is important in life, what we need,
and all we want. If only we can get the Grand Champion points it will all
be worth it and our lives will again have meaning.
The number of points are earned by the number from the show,and you need
15 Grand Champion points for the Title. Just ask Paula, her male was the
first male German Shepherd to become a Grand Champion. I have a copy of the
certificate to prove it.
