It seems everyone in Albuquerque will soon be a criminal. It is
inconceivable that the level of intelligence has sunk so low in
county/city/state government. Although this may be the case, I have another
theory. I believe that animal rights extremists have figured out what most
motivates our "elected" government EMPLOYEE's and it's not the welfare of the
citizenry or it's pets. It's MONEY! Gee, what a surprise, eh?
The AR groups approach government (city/county/state) with prepared
legislation, with all the work done for them. This includes just how the
citizens will be brought to the slaughter, presenting the legislators with an
unbelievable set
of violations they can make law, all with penalties (usually fines) that can
added to for future assaults on our freedoms AND our pocketbooks. The
legislators need only customize it a bit, with the ARistas standing over their
shoulders, of course. THEN they further show the governments that they can
"make money" by legislating that people must PAY for the privilege of owning an
intact animal...even if that animal is 10 years old, never bred, and never will
be bred! If there's one thing a politician loves to hear it's an idea on how
to bring more in revenue in to fritter away on their pet projects to guarantee
their voter base or siphon off to a "retirement" fund for their old age. You
know, the pay isn't very good at the local level of government. The AR groups
have figured this out and they are playing to these legislator's greatest
weakness...greed. FREE money!
Please don't make the mistake of thinking these laws will not affect
you--sooner or later they will! I'm thinking that everyone in Albuquerque
should go out with their dogs and march up to city hall with their dogs on 9
foot leashes. Mark them off in foot increments so the idiots won't need to get
out their measuring tapes!
