This is like when I was on the board. Now I read that we may not have even
made a profit on the dinner, (Bill tells us he hasn't added in the
decorations
or the gifts). We lost money on herding. Did the club make money on
anything at the Oregon national?
The national committee has to be able to predict the losses, and that is a
difficult situation. However, it is necessary if the club is to survive.
Our board works harder than any organization I have ever seen. It is a
tremendous job, from what Bill does for us, and everyone who works with him
to
protect our club. We owe then a vote of thanks and all the help we can
provide.
It does sound like we may have lost money in Oregon, but it was still a
great show.
