I used to return all bred bitches with bright poster board paper taped to
the top of the crate. NOTICE: CONTENTS PREGNANT GERMAN SHEPHERD BITCH.
HANDLE WITH CARE. I do not know if this ever helped but it didn't hurt. In
the 70s I had almost personal relationships with several of the airfreight
people at O'Hare. They knew I was coming in early in the morning and
bringing the "goodies" for coffee time. I only had a TERRIBLE deal with a
bitch being sent TO me from somewhere in the SE on DELTA and they overlooked
that bitch for 24 hours. She was OK. But--Delta and I had many telephone
conversations and "no charge" to the client. I was a wreck. Having a stud
dog with bitches being shipped in is no picnic. I will no longer do it.
Bring them to me or do chilled. Just to risky--not worth it. Sandi Card
