United Kennel Club was at the forefront in doing things like taking a public stand *against* puppy mills and *for* DNA testing of breeding stock to protect the integrity of their registry. In these matters, they were actually far ahead of AKC. UKC can and will investigate breeders and can and will remove them and their dogs from the registry if they're up to no good. I suspect the high volume breeders and people evading enforcement of AKC's rules and regs would go to organizations such as the American Pet Breeders Association or CONtinental Kennel Club long before they took up with UKC. ~*~*~*~*~*~* Karen C.
