GREAT post, Sheree. However, will never be able to get the narrow minded folks
tom see the light, IMO. Honestly, it seems that they do not not want to risk
the chance that someone, outside THEIR circle, may actually join and be an
asset to the Club. Or, win at THEIR shows. Hence - this is why very few new
GSD owners participate in the Club or at shows:(

Has it occurred to anyone that maybe Frank, as President, was simply trying to
get new members? As Doc Zoe pointed out, the $36 membership rate was
originally meant to entice WDA members to join, or for lapsed members to
re-join. So the white people were smart enough to think about taking advantage
of it; they are German Shepherds, whether they show in our conformation rings
or
not. After all the hate and discontent that's been spewing, I can't imagine
why
they'd want to be part of this club. Some of the posters have had me
re-thinking my priorities in life, I have to remind myself that they are merely
a (very) vocal minority and not representative of the vast majority of the
members.And maybe I'm just confused, but I re-joined FB a couple of months ago
because of the rants about "German dogs are going to take over the club" and
"the BOD secretly wants to change our standard to mirror the SV" ....... all
these supposed agendas.....well, they don't have whites, right? So
which is it? Maybe it's not a conspiracy, just the BOD trying to get all
GSDs
in the club; Colored, white, AKC, Imported....it's one breed....our club isn't
called the Colored German Shepherd Dog Club, or the American German Shepherd
Dog
club. We are the GSDCA, and, theoretically at least, all flavors are eligible.
