[ SHOWGSD-L ] Agenda

At the October Board Meeting our Membership Chair informed the Board of a
Hearing concerning an applicant. This Hearing was to be done at the January
Board Meeting, the applicant was invited to appear. This invitation was sent
via mail, along with copies of the objections received. The Board knew of this
Agenda Item in October, three months in advance.
The first part of January I always ask the Board if they have any Agenda Items
they want added, we do trade a few emails and normally I get the Agenda to the
Board a week or so prior to the Meeting. Didn't happen this time, too many
other things going on so the Board did not get the Agenda until Saturday. The
Hearing was Sunday so even though I was late the Board still had 24 hours to
question the Closed Session Hearing. There were no questions. Everyone knew
what is was about, who was coming and that they would be voting to reject or
accept the member.
So, Illeana, my response to you about Board members telling you they didn't
know anything is like my favorite line from Cool Hand Luke, what you have is a
failure to communicate. Or as Tennessee Williams might say, damn liars.
