Just by using the word "import" many people capitalize on this, supposedly
beginning of our
breed. Also, it does cost quite a bit to get one over here. HOWEVER, I
learned, as a real
German person, that "Germany does NOT give up her BEST"; so it's a cheat
thing anyway.
ONLY, if you have someone you know who KNOWS the lines over there can you be
sure
to have a quality animal. Now, for the MUTT, designer stuff -- it is
due to the "unique"
combinations they are doing. This is the attraction as well as the added
expectations for a
smaller, larger, smarter, etc., group the John Q. Public thinks they are
getting!!
Now, for US to attempt to do better, we MUST work together all over the
place with our
being SEEN with our super smart dogs -- and they ARE, I know as I've worked
with all
kinds all my life. There is NO breed as good as a GSD! However, any animal
on an
individual basis, is only as good or bad as the human with them!! Norma

Why is it that the German breeders seem to have no problem getting 1800 PLUS
out
of their pups and American breeders don't seem to be able to do it?
Do you think it is the quality of the pups?
Better PR?
The faith of the breeder in the what they are producing?
What can we do as a club to change it?
