I so agree. I am always with my dogs and take them to the shows myself. I
don't believe in sending them away. I condition them myself. GSD can easily
get away and want to look for their Mama.

I know this is the thing to do..(now a days)....send your dog to a
handler...but we've have only done this maybe on a handful of occasions and
those were
just for a couple of months. We take our dogs to the shows, we train the
dogs
and 100% of the time I condition the dogs... To Gary and I this is all part
of showing dogs...and we are always with our dogs when they are shown and
finish...what fun is a phone call saying your dog has finished if you cant be
there. I agree you "may" need a handler BUT I dont agree you have to send
your
dog away to get it finished.
