Hi Guys
Just got back from Az.
Congratulations to all the winners..in particular my Brother in Law Bill,
Bob and Charlotte Funk on going Best of Breed both days...so wonderful!
Our young Hunter was Best Junior, under Amy Safdir. THANK YOU AMY for you
kindness, and gentleness with a new team in the ring.
Hunter had to have a substitute step in for Ch. Levi, who injured himself
the night before we left for Az.
Our only alternative was UNtrained, INexperienced, totally wild and willful
"Clooney" Victory's the Perfect Storm v Garter (Levi's bottle fed, son)
Clooney had his second time at a show only that weekend, and is difficult to
deal with, even for an adult.
So with us all holding our collective breath, we put him in as substitute
for Hunter.
Lo and Behold, they made an outstanding team. lol. Clooney was wild at
the first lap, but with some strong well-timed corrections by his
very young handler, they settled in as a team. Clooney is NOT ring trained,
even a little. Yet they worked together like seasoned pros.
We were speechless....
We were going to sell Clooney, as we still have his sire and dam, and well,
you know, we couldn't find his "niche" ....
As things worked out, it looks like Clooney will not be going anywhere ,
much to Hunter's delight.
Who knew? lololol

THANK YOU to the GRAND CANYON GSDC, for a great show! The ring was large,
the grounds roomy and noone felt crowded.
The hotel was lovely and was very understanding of four #500 crates in a
room, because of the heat.
The nice thing was that the hotel had breakfast and complimentary dinner,
etc every evening. So unless you wanted to , you didn't have to
leave the hotel grounds. This was very nice. Lunches provided by the club,
like grilled cheeseburgers, hotdogs and pulled pork were so appreciated, and
delicious, and
what a nice thing to do for everyone.
The pot luck/ Hospitality on Saturday night was so nice, and relaxing, and
well attended!!
The club did a GREAT job, and were so quick to answer questions, and help
exhibitors .
I would not hesitate to go back to these shows...it was really terrific.
Thank you GRAND CANYON CLUB!
