ALERT - Indiana - Responsible Pet Owner's Day at the Statehouse March 12, 2009
Responsible Pet Owner's Day at the Statehouse
Mark your calendars!
When: Thursday, March 12th, 2009 from 10:OOAM to 2:00PM Where: The Indiana
Statehouse, 200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis in the Atrium
Why: To mount a grassroots opposition to HB 1468, a bill that is proposed to
prevent cruelty to animals and "puppymills" but has severe consequences for
home/hobby breeders and small business breeders as well.
Program Highlights: We will have speakers from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. A tour of
the Statehouse will be scheduled for those who would like to see the historic
and beautiful building.Check in at the Atrium when you arrive. If you cannot
attend the entire program there will be someone at the Atrium from 10:00AM until
2:00PM with information and literature for you.
Please contact your representative and senator as soon as possible to make sure
you have an appointment to speak with them on the 12th. Your legislators'
contact information can be found using a search box at www.in.gov.legislative.
Participants will leave the program for appointments with legislators as they
need to and return after they have voiced their opinions. Or feel free to spend
part of the day with us.
We would like to have a huge turnout for this event to let our legislators know
we oppose HB1468. If you cannot attend this event please call your legislators
and make an appointment for a day that is convenient for you. Or write, FAX or
phone your opinions to them at the Statehouse. Contact information may be found

Light refreshments will be served.
