I have to chime in here. PETA was so strong for a while, and became way too extreme for those "intelligent", but soft hearted people who were enriching its coffers. ALDF (headed by a group of lawyers that are teaching other lawyers how to bring AR suits, in a college near you) is appealing to the "sophisticated", the people that get turned off by the ridiculousness of some of the PETA antics, and don't want to be part of a group that is being labeled "domestic Terrorists" supporters. AS we gather momentum, (and we are), educate people, join with activist groups in a big way, the "other side" will look for ways to circumvent our efforts. Much like the opposing sides in a law suit :-) We are appealing to logical thinking and educating the public to the real goals of the AR groups, and therefore, they are working in different methods, too. Putting on 3 piece suits, carrying brief cases, Politics, lobbying, big money going towards the politicians. We need to stay on top of it this time, not let ourselves be divided.
