I had one at a Specailty I judged in Texas a few years back so they do show up
at specailties.

Besides attending DCA for a million years, I have also attended several other
breed Nationals and NEVER have I seen an AKC Rep.
It is not cost-effective to send a Rep. to a Specialty with all the down-time,
verses sending them off to two or more all-breed shows.
I think it has little or nothing to do with what goes on at the National.
BTW: With all the controversy in dals right now, we could end up with one at
our
National too if they are going to spend the money to do that.
