Recently I received a registration certificate from AKC on one of my dogs. The problem is that I ALREADY HAVE a registration certificate on this dog and have had for all of the 6 years that I have owned her! So now I have two! I called AKC and the lady readily admitted that she did not know why I had been sent another registration certificate on this dog. No one at AKC that this lady asked when I called had an answer either. Makes me wonder - how many people could have this happen, how many other such mistakes are made by AKC and how easy is it for someone to falsify records?
