After we did a little running around to Robin's Warehouse and the farmmarket (which sells the best peach pies in the WHOLE world), I asked Billy to drop off Forest and me up near the site of Norma's house, so we could take a leisurely walk home. Forest loved it all: the gentle crunch of the dried fall leaves, the crisp, clean air AND the fellow walkers, who admired her beautiful type. Forest repaid kind with kind. When nobody was looking, I opened her up with my 8 foot show lead--she never missed a beat, such correct, groundcovering movement, but I was so winded, I almost passed out. (LOL) It was one of those times that I really love and appreciate having these wonderful dogs: they have so much to give--and I don't just mean at dog shows. Dogs you can live with. . .
