[ SHOWGSD-L ] A question for everyone on the list...

First off I Do Not have a horse in this race and have been soul searching for 
my own answers with this being put before us by so many people I have looked up 
to since my beginnings in dogs in the early 70's. I wish there was a simple 
answer, however, we all can see there is not! Its like when someone does 
something hurtful and I'm told "don't take it personal" ... Ha, "how can I 
not?" is my normal reply when so much of our lives have been guided by a 
"standard", "a bible" or "our constitution". Much like the catholic church 
being divided about gay marriage and adoptions...as time goes on I hope we get 
smarter, more informed, have factual evidence and be more kinder to what other 
people want whether we agree or not. I also like to see and understand things 
from both sides, which doesn't make me a fence sitter, just curious as to why 
all sides are so passionate. And That I have found to be very educational on 
this white topic. If every member of this list was allowed a vote, whether they 
are a member of the gsdca or not, learning all this valuable info from every 
fraction, how & what would the outcome be? Wouldn't that interest everyone? 
Would it bring back passionate non renewing members??? How many list members 
are there compared to GSDCA members? Would this help reunite our club, make it 
stronger and then move to help this group of people in getting something they 
can live with and become???
I have to say this too...I commend this board, the committees etc for not 
ignoring this issue any longer for No One in the USA should be treated less 
then, left to the end of a meeting and then told sorry not enough of us are 
here to hear you out...and many more excuses that prior boards have used to let 
these people be led on not for months BUT YEARS. That people is disgusting and 
shameful.  People want to pick on this board as they do so with past other 
boards but they seem to still be cleaning up after what was left for them to 
fix and they get the brunt of the unhappiness but what choices do they have?
Its a thankless disheartening job of which so many of my friends have served 
every time asked, I have said 
"No Thank You"... If people only knew half the stuff...you'd really be 
amazed!!!
