It doesn't matter whether the Ring Steward has checked them. It is an absolute rule,because it's the JUDGES book count that determines the points. We usually don't have AKC reps at our shows,but if there had been,and the judge didn't check the numbers,The AKC would call him on it. I always stay by the entrance,and check the numbers off as they enter the ring.
