That would, of course, be Little Di, a daughter of my beautiful Ch. Diana,
granddam of my handsome Harley. Of course, Lil Di can hunt!!
And, of course, she is beautiful, she is Harley's Aunt! It is always
wonderful to hear of dogs we have connections to who are living a wonderful

I wasn't going to post this, but it made me laugh.
Some might remember the bitch we sent to my buddy Jim in Michigan. He
spends all his time hunting and fishing and always had labs. But, I convinced
him to get a German shepherd and when he agreed, we sent him our house dog
Diana, (Goddess of the Hunt).
This was the bitch that got loose in the Grand Rapids airport and shut down
the entire Mid-West airports for an hour. She was running on the runway,
and they couldn't bring in any planes from Chicago, or let any flights
leave. They claimed they were going to shoot her, and Jim said if they shot
her,
he would shoot them. Jim is not a tolerant man.
I got this post-card from Jim who is in Florida to go fishing, so I am
sharing it with the List.

I want to tellyou how frequently people on the sidewalks compliment
Dianah's good looks. In Tarpon Springs recently, a group of retired Greek
sponge harvesters called me and the dog over to their clubhouse so that they
could admire her. They told me they all owned German shepherds during
their lifetimes, and that the GS are the preferred dog in Florida's Greek
communities. Jim"
So, evidently we have a popular breed with Greek sponge harvesters now
retired to Florida. Evidently we are ignoring a potential market for our
puppies.
