The idea is, that if there was a Club Member Only List then someone from the
Club could control what is said on it. Only information allowed by whoever
is chosen to limit it, would go out. This is never a good way to grow or to
learn, but it would keep secret what those who want a limited List would do.
It is self-defeating, but I say, go for it, and learn. We have never before
seen this idea of keeping things secret. It is going to change in a few
months as we elect a new board. The new board always takes a new approach.
This
board has worked hard for us, and made some mistakes. They have wanted the
information kept quiet, and it makes sense, but didn't happen.
Now, with our vote, we will set another four years for our club. Let's work
hard to do it the right way. But, let's also remember how dedicated our
present board has been.
