Memories
I just heard of the passing of Hazel Parks.
For those who knew Hazel, (and Larry) they are two of the most honest and
decent people in the breed. They are responsible for Tedi and I being in
this sport.
When I bought a puppy for Tedi, she never was thrifty, and the Parks gave
us a replacement, a bitch that was show quality, even though I purchased a
pet puppy. That was Sigen. From there we bred her, and Asgard was
started. She carried the double sable gene, so we had 30 or so sable puppies.
There is no one in the breed I admired more than Hazel. She always had a
kind word for anyone, and was there to help in any way she could. This is a
loss that will remain in my heart for years, and will be one of the great
changes in the German shepherd world for me.
