Pam, that's all so great. You have a lot of good ideas. And some, if not
most, of your pup buyers will stay in contact with you, ESPECIALLY at the
beginning. Just don't get too sad when some drift away and you lose contact.
As the dogs get older, (and not the new plaything), the pup buyers start to go
on with their lives in a different way. I still have GREAT contact with SOME
of my pup buyers (and I initiate, send them little Christmas gifts, birthday
cards, updates on the pups' siblings, etc., etc.) Some I have occasional
contact (The thrill when you hear from a pup buyer for the first time in 5
years
is UNBELIEVABLE!), and a couple just don't contact me. I know the dog is
cared for and loved, and I just have to accept that.
So, start it right, and have fun. Just don't expect them all to have our
level of interest for the life of the dog. :-)
