Last week Jane Kerner lost her second son. Today we have to find a way to
go forward without another great friend of the breed, Rickie. Her laugh, her
flaming red hair, the way she used to grab your elbow to make a point. They
were an important part of my life. So many are now gone, and thankfully so
many remain, for now.
We can honor them all with the common decency we show to each other from
this minute on through the rest of our lives. I know I intend to do so.
Rest well my friends, we will try to show you how we care.
