[ SHOWGSD-L ] A Question

I have heard, and I believe it was on TV a week or so ago, that The German
Shepherd Dog had been officially designated to be New York State's official
dog. This may not be correct as I heard nothing about it from Westminster, on
The List or elsewhere. Our breed is on a few BSL lists which does not appear
to me to be the appropriate list for a State Dog. Does anyone else on the
list know about this because I sure could be wrong.
