Hi everyone, I wanted to take a moment to send a personal "Thank You" to all of the "gsd people" who have helped during the Katrina (and now Rita) ordeal. I've been moving from place to place since the first storm hit; and am about to move again. I have limited internet access, so am pretty cut off from the goings on in the GSD world. With the little I've read about the politics, lately, I'm kind of glad I am ;) I just had to express my personal feelings of gratitude to ALL of the people who have given their time, money, donations, etc. to help other people and dogs that they probably don't even know. I have been hearing through "the grapevine" and some on the internet of your selfless acts. You all know who you are, and I wouldn't want to offend anyone by leaving your name out...so I won't try to list them all. Please know that your are greatly appreciated. It is times like these that make us rethink what is truly important and worth our time and effort. Please indulge me while I thank some people for their offers and/or actual help and comfort that I, personally, have received...it has meant more than you know...that would be Pat Lukos, Mary Tripp, Lynn Goswick, Paula McCullough (pensacola), John and Leonor Long, Karen Rogers, all who have sent me encouraging emails, some unknown donors of money at recent dog shows; and last, but most definitely not least, Greg and Linda Eschette...who are at this moment keeping two of my dogs for me so I don't have to worry about their safety while I move from place to place until my house is liveable again. This is no small favor, since at least one of those dogs is a real pain the the butt sometimes ;). Thank you SOOO much, Greg and Linda!!! I hope I don't sound the least bit ungrateful or brought down by the current circumstances. I am not. God has been merciful to me and my family. Yes, I have cried some tears and wondered what I was going to do (especially with my dogs)...BUT I only lost possessions. Many have lost much more. I pray for their comfort and for the Glory of God to be shown in this whole ordeal. God has provided for my family's needs in many ways, including through some of you. Thank you for being His hands and feet. Greg is right...God DOES have a plan, and it is for the good (not harm) of those who put their trust in Him. I look forward to seeing what will unfold and to learn the lesson He is trying to teach me. It would be a TRUE tragedy if we all went back to "business as usual" and didn't rebuild our lives to be better than they were and more in line with God's eternal plan. Thanks for the indulgence. Have a Blessed day. I hope to see some of you in the near future.
