This is why I hate development, the city folk with more money than sense
want to move into the small towns for the rural atmosphere/open space, but
then they want to change it all to a country club...manicured lawns,
artistically pruned shrubs, landscaped "gardens", white vinyl fences and no
animals except maybe a 2 lb "teacup" pocket pooch--gosh, there might be an
odor, if there are cows allowed! <sigh> And then the property values
skyrocket and regular people can't afford to live there anymore. <bigger
sigh>
Liz in Utah with sheep and goats and dogs and chickens and children who are
learning to live, not just exist...who also wishes she had more property so
she could have a REAL farm, far far away from people like the neighbor in
that story!
