I know rescue is important. I did it for 10 years. But may I remind you
that RESEARCH into the health of our breed is just as important. If you
donate
to the American German shepherd dog Charitable Foundation, they see to it
that your money is matched by the AKC Charitable Foundation so it goes twice
as
far.

Carol is right. Research into the health problems of our breed is very
important and Foundation funds are matched by the AKC Health Foundation. Great
strides have been made recently in research on DM and on some cancers.
