[ SHOWGSD-L ] 500 chihuahuas? 50 chihuahuas? 10?

A couple of headlines lately have so totally exaggerated dog stories.   In 
Washington State, there was supposedly 50 Chihuahuas being kept as "leg 
warmers" 
(supposedly Dr. prescribed to ease arthritis pains).   Oh...guess 
what...learning that there were 12 of the little critters around.   Not even 
going into 
the principle of service dogs, look at the next exaggeration.

800!!! dogs seized from a trailer!!!   WoW...what that must have been like in 
that trailer!   Oh, oh...facts start coming out.   There were outbuildings 
and there all weren't in the trailer.   Oh, and now we hear there were 200 of 
them. 200!!    But guess which of these two headlines will be sticking around.


I have learned to wait and learn after hearing these horrendous headline 
grabbing events until the talking heads and the wannabe Pulitzer Prize folks 
get 
out of the way and the details are sorted out.    People used to rush for the 
telephone and the party lines.   We have the internet now.   Same difference on 
a HUGE scale, unfortunately.
