The biggest single yearly loss was in 2013 when the Nationals/World Trials were
in Philly… the club lost over $111,000 dollars that year; much of it around the
nationals and the other operating expenses made up the rest. 2012 saw the club
in the black almost $9000.
The 2015 national shows/trials MADE MONEY for the club. The other operating
expenses again, put the club back in the red… though “only” about $28,000 (!!!)
The breed show made a PROFIT of $30,000. Agility trials at nationals, $6000
profit. Herding in the black. The Review was in the black- a profit of $1000.
The WUSV/SV Sieger show in the black, but the IPO trial was in the hole a few
thousand. The futurities left a $9000 hole in the GSDCA’s pocket in 2015; that
purina doesn’t do the support they used to… The president, treasurer,
delegate & secretary positions left a $7700 hole in the pocket of the GSDCA
(though the secretary only spent under $300- assumably on postage, etc). The
webpage cost us almost $46,000!!! (WTF there, considering there are typos!
$46K for typos. Really?!!!??) Board meetings for directors: $31,600. Admin
$40K
The bottom line is that the shows & their profits don’t cover the costs of
Admin (including website & board meetings- aka the general day to day
operations of this club). Membership dues don’t even nearly cover the
operations for the club.
Some further trimming back needs to be made. The website, though extensive,
surely isn’t fancy enough to cost the club over $46,000 a year! That’s just
obscene in my eyes, and if trimmed back significantly, would be a major factor
in sewing up that hole in the pocket of the GSDCA!

years, stop doing it.

You can write all the letters to the board you want. Good luck with that! This
list admin sent out a questioner to all those running for board this last
election! Only about three responded, the others for one reason or another gave
you metaphorically speaking the middle finger! You voted them in anyway! They
don't care what you think! ( hell why should they) You weren't even invited to
the meeting via telephone ( wonder why?) if we were losing total worth revenue
since 2009, did the board just find out about this two weeks ago? Of course
not! The Reno sight in my opinion was always a bad decision, but hell ,at least
it was on the west coast? When is the last time that happened ( Denver is NOT
on the west coast) the board gave us the impression that the Reno sight was
like dealing with the devil! Let's pretend that this is true! Well why not
attempt to find another west coast sight , or even Denver or Utah! They feed us
this BS about going to St Louis for three straight years would save money and
cost us nothing! Our board is so bold they pee on your leg and tell you that
they are peeing on your leg! And what do you do? I have an answer but this post
is already on the boarder of what the admin wants ! Power corrupts, absolute
power corrupts absolutely ! Come on people even
