Respectfully disagree.
If the audience cannot see then the club needs to make provisions.
It is not the job of the handers, doublers, assistants or Santa Claus to
make sure the spectators can see.
CASE IN POINT: This Sunday with Kaitlyn in a wheelchair and with the
weather being super hot, in the afternoon,
we had a hard time finding shade for her also where she, and Hunter could
see the GSD ring.
A person affiliated with the show, SAW us, and immediately directed them
(Hunter and Kaitlyn) to a tent
where there was a ring, not being used, adjacent to the GSD ring.
 For the Group, we , because we are all grown ups, found our own shade
under a tent with many really great REALLY GREAT
handlers and owners from the Toy Group, Terrier Groups...twenty feet back
and with full view of the Group ring. They were only
too happy to accommodate Kaitlyn and Hunter in their need to be able to
see.
 Grooms , conditioners, doublers , assistants or whatever you want to call
them are not making a living making sure people can
see the ring. They get paid to do the BEST they can to get the very BEST
out of those dogs. PERIOD.
This is a show chairman , show management issue,. DO NOT lay it on the
exhibitors and their assistants.

I understand, Kathy. I think my main point was that in this time when âthe
other side' is working really hard to make a BAD impression about pure bred
dogs, AKC, and dog shows, we (as a past exhibitor), need to be aware of how we
come across to the public.Â
I agree that Show Management need to have that awareness also, but every one of
us is being targeted, so every one of us has to make the extra effort.
Of course, itâs my opinion⦠whose else could it be? <VBG>

I thought the same Molly, but I also observed by looking at the replay that the
ockey wasn't pushing Chrome and he sort of coasted into the finish. With
nimals it is so hard to tell. A horse or dog can have the structure but lacks
he desire to want to perform or win. Another animal may lack some structural
ttributes but has heart and desire. I can never tell by structure who will win
e it horse or dog, there is so much more to it than what is apparent. Christine

it   will be interesting at the stakes

as I petted him
fter watching him run through his pasture in KY. I knew
Chrome was going
o win after watching his movement just walking. As most of

I will be rooting for California Chrome in his future
endeavors and hope his own nuances do not get in the

money, a trip to California would be in the works for
early next year.
