If I remember right, AKC has rules regarding the sale of puppies
under 6 weeks. I think it should be raised to 7 -8 weeks. 6 weeks is
still too young and 4 weeks is just plan nuts.

DE has a puppy lemon law. I am certain it prohibits "breeders" from
releasing a puppy prior to either seven or eight weeks. Go for it you two.
If
these nut job "breeders" placed one puppy at 4 weeks, it's a good bet the
other puppies from the litter are placed too and are dehydrating/starving as
I type.
