email to see if she could stay at our house in 2017. I told her she could of
course, but why – is she traveling through… lots of people travel through but
few actually stop and visit or call when in town, not even our good friend Paul
and Jen (dig)! So she told me that the board has voted to hold the 2017
Nationals in Reno… Can this actually be true? This would be wonderful for us to
see everyone and renew old acquaintances. Things have changed in Reno over
the past few years. The desert east of town s blooming like a rose, not with
vegetation but with buildings. The largest industrial park in the world used to
be in China, but it is now in Reno. Multiple giga-factories are building here
and our area is expected to more than double in the next few years. Already our
housing market is taking off and it looks like we will be in a boom town again.
This will effect some things positively for our Nationals. Air flights are
increasing and airlines are adding flight and new airlines are establishing
schedules. That will not change the size of airplanes or their policies about
dogs though. But then, that will still be the story nationwide. So if this is
true, may I issue a heartfelt but premature – WELCOME TO RENO! We will do
everything possible to make this a great event.Dave Fritsche PS – Everyone can
stay at our house. We have one bedroom, and one bath but lots of land. RV’s
welcome and floor space free!
