I'm sure any breeder would be happy to have a one of their puppies with a
mostly pink nose go obedience Victor/Victrix. Guess this change is going to
fall under "be careful what you wish for".
Ron Halling not only is a great trainer of his own dogs, but also an excellent
instructor that often helps people with their BLACK AND TAN poorly bred, bad
temperamented dogs.
It makes me wonder if some people actually look for reasons to be negative or
it just comes naturally to them.

I know Ron Halling and his family personally. I've known them for many
ears. I've shown my shepherds with Ron and his family. I'm not just saying
his because he's my friend, but Ron is an amazing soul and "dog man" with
his ring experience that
many will NEVER claim. He has more spirit than
ost. He has this gifted touch with dogs. I know what he went through to
rain himself and his dogs for this national. His competition was strong
his year. And he did it! Please don't judge him because white was at the
nd of his leash. My personal feelings are that only the working class group
f GSD members should've voted on this obed., Victrix/Victor ballot. NOT the
onformation people! It's a totally different bunch of people in the way
hey think.

The vote changing the requirements BACK to requiring dogs to meet the
reed standard goes into effect next year. This year, the premium
idn't list that as a requirement so the award was given to Ron's dog.
I'm glad he got it...he's worked hard for it!
