OMG.............I still feel I'm flying at 38,000 feet!!!!!!!! Manny, Norma, Kathy and I want to gratefully thank Mr. Dave Rinke for awarding our "Holly" Best of Breed at the GSDCA Centennial National Specialty!!!!!!! She is now, 2011 Futurity Victrix, 2012 Maturity Victrix and 2013 Grand Victrix Gr Ch. Depahl's Halston. WE are so proud of her. She never let up in the ring, a tribute to her heart and conditioning. Our thanks go out to Scott and Loren Yergin for their undying support, love and affection for this bitch. Team Yergin is second to none in their ability to condition and get their animals ready for the big dance. Thank you to Denise Black Hollister for breeding such a wonderful representative of our breed and allowing us to own her. We would also like to thank all of the judges who recognized Holly along the way to her championship and beyond. In particular, we want to thank Kathy Potter for Holly's 2011 BIF Mid-Altantic, Ken Cunningham - 2012 BIM Mid-Pacific, Robert Kish 2011 US Futurity Victrix, Cappy Pottle 2012 US Maturity Victrix and Lew Bunch 2012 - US Select No. 3. We want to gratefully acknowledge all of the supporters Holly has acquired during her show career. It seems amazing that she is only 3 years old. Hate to admitted but I was brought to tears when I saw a standing ovation from the stands. My first National was in New Jersey in 1968 as a young 16 year old kid. I was so hooked. Ever since then I have been chasing the elusive dream of owning a Grand Victrix. I came close in 1985 when a bitch that I bred went Select 2 under Connie Beckhardt. How fitting that 45 years later this lofty goal was accomplished. This achievement, however, would not be have been possible without our doggy brother and sister, Manny and Norma Campo. A better, friend and co-owner no one could ask for. It was Manny who made the move to purchase Holly as a 6 mos puppy at the Utah National. Together, we have found synergy which ultimately translated into a cohesive force behind our animals. The guidance of Team Yergin and their vision has been instrumental in our success. For those exhibitors out there thant feel you need to win everytime out in the ring, know that it takes a great animal, lots of work, guidance, conditioning, the right judges...and most important, lots of blessings from above. Thank you. Joey ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2012.
