I know for a FACT that Golden State GSDC in San Jose CA DID send in futurity
bids last
year & the year before because I'm the one that filled out the forms and
sent them along
with all the other paperwork.
Golden State has not been SELECTED to host a futurity since 2004.

I have Read enough of this....many years ago, when Arizona first got a
lottery they put up billboards all over the state that said "IF YOU DON'T
PLAY YOU CAN'T WIN"....this applies to Futurities, If the local clubs in
some regions to donot want to be bothered filling our applications to host a
Futurity.....they will not be considered for hosting a Futurity no matter
how convenient it may be for a large group of people. If you would like a
Futurity in your area in the future realize that an application to host the
Futurity MUST be sent to the National Futurity Chair by March to apply to
host a Futurity in 2 years. There must be at least 12 specialty clubs in
California, my guess is nobody wanted to do the work....the Clubs in
question Colorado( is South West F/M) Arizona( is Southern Pacific F/M)
Utah (is Mid Pacific F/M) I guess these 3 clubs filled out the paper work
last year, and are willing to work to put on a Futurity
As a Futurity Chair, I consider it a privledge & pleasure to host a Futurity
for my club.
