Hi all,

As many of you know, I declined to attend the 2009 Agility Invitational once 
AKC announced that they were moving the agility rings to a tent structure out 
in the "back 40" parking lot of the Long Beach convention center. Two years ago 
it poured rain in Long Beach and I thought that if it did the same this year, 
there was no way that the water wouldn't run into the tents used to crate the 
agility dogs and the tent like structure where the agility rings were set up. 
Can't understand why the powers to be at AKC didn't come to this same 
conclusion. I refused to take the chance that my poor little short haired dog 
would be cold, I never imagined she would have been cold and WET.

This video shows the deplorable conditions the agility teams had to endure for 
3 days. To top it off, the agility finals were not filmed this year. AKC states 
it was due to budget cuts by Animal Planet, but the agility folks state that it 
was due to the poor lighting conditions in the agility "building". What a real 
shame for all the agility teams who worked all year long to be INVITED to the 
agility invitational.
