Due to the fact the past couple of Reviews have wrong information in the
futurity section, I wanted to ensure everyone is aware that the site listed is
incorrect.
It shows it being held at the Holiday Inn, Midtown in Beaumont. This is
incorrect information and if anyone has booked at the Holiday Inn, please
change your reservations to the hotels that we are dealing with for this event.
The GSDC of Beaumont full page ad in the review is correct information.
The Futurity/Maturity along with our 2 specialty shows are being held at
Ford Park at 5115 IH 10 Beaumont Texas. Ford Park is at the very west end of
Beaumont on the south side of IH 10, and is less than a 5 minute drive from
both our hotels.
The hotels are:
Hotels: (on both, just say you are coming to the German Shepherd Dog Show)
1. Best Western, Jefferson Inn - 1610 IH 10 ph 409-842-0037
-drive up/park at door rooms; all have micro-fridges; Kings, doubles
available.
rate $69. + tax - extended continental breakfast included
2. Elegante Hotel and Conference Center - 2355 IH 10 S, Beaumont
409-842-3600
- inside access rooms, $79.+tax. Suites $119.
Kings/doubles...restaurant/bar on site
If you are flying in for these shows, fly to Bush Intercontinental
(airport code IAH)......it is approximately a 1 hour 10 minute drive to
Beaumont
from the airport.
Also, our show secretary has had some ex tenuous issues and inadvertently
made some errors in the premium list. It was originally sent out with no
judges listed, and the corrected copy came out with 1 judge and the address
for
the other judge. You will be receiving a correction by mail, but for those
both inquiring and wondering we are aware......judge and event info as
follows:
Friday March 23 - Specialty - judge Mr. Dave Rinke
--approx 3 hours after completion of judging Dave is doing a breed/judges
education seminar scheduled to be held at the Best Western Jefferson Inn.
Registration fee which includes a meal is $10.00. If you wish to attend
this seminar, contact Molly Snider prior to March 1, 2007
There will be hands on plus ringside mentoring on Saturday March 24.
Mentors include
Lee Brown, Carolyn Mckenna and DD Ardoin.
Saturday March 24 - Specialty - judge, Doris Farrell
- note--for attendee's of the breed seminar only, Doris will answer
questions in regards to her judging at the end of the day
-- 30 minutes after completion of judging, an AKC sanction match will be
held
Judge - Gail Sprock.
-- After the match, Gail Sprock will be doing a juniors seminar, so bring
your juniors
and have one of the best give her secrets of success away!
Sat Evening: Hospitality to be held at the Best Western Jefferson Inn in
Beaumont.
Sunday March 25 - Futurity/Maturity Judge Roberta (Bobbie) Kindy
