Even 6 mos can be too young if a pup has a bad experience. It can ruin a show
career. Maybe another option could be a 4-6 month handling class offered for a
smaller entry fee. It would be a positive training experience for the pups,
get them used to a ring and the new sounds, smells and atmosphere, without the
stress of competition. It would also generate some additional income for the
clubs.
Since my guys don't get brains until they are about 3yrs old :-) 4 mos just
seems way too young.

Yes and I realized the error after the fact too. But I think even 4
onths is a bit young. Bad experience at that age would really end a
romising
up. guess will have to see how it works out and then see.
