#1 In Friday's edition of my local paper there was a report about a Kentucky deputy and this k-9 dog dying in a chase It happened in Pineville, Ky. 2 tenagers were charged with murder Thursday after they led police on a chase on a wet road and hit a parked sheriff's cruiser, killing the deputy and K-9 dog inside. Neither teen was seriously hurt. they'd left an Exxon station without paying - get this - at 12:35 a.m. Police followed the car through the winding country roads. Their car veered off the road crossing the center line and rammed into a cruiser parked on the shoulder waiting to join the chase. Police estimated the car was traveling over 100 mph. #2 In today's issue the title caption reads - "Police dog helps catch drug suspect" Springfield, La. -- not too far from ME. Deputies arrested a fleeing man accused of illegal drug possession after a police dog caught him trying to climb a high fence. Deputies attempted to stop him but he took off and ran his carinto a ditch. Afrter he crashed his car, he and another man "alledgedly" ran. He was captured by a police dog name Bullet (Ky. dog was named King BTW)!
