One of the fascinating parts of the old film classic with Boris Karloff's THE MUMMY (1932) is the German Shepherd Dog in the picture. He's a large dog (may be 90 lbs) with a saddle back and light tan in colour. Long legs and body. Sagging middle piece but has an ok head and strong ears. He has a flat croup and a high gay tail. His temperament is spooky and nervous as he can barely walk with the woman in the film. He keeps stopping and putting on the brakes... lots of panting and whining. If this was considered a good dog for their day.... We've come a long way baby. Kate ============================================================================ POST is Copyrighted 2005.
