Nice article in tomorrow's NY Times Westchester section discusses a new
17 acre park in Bedford, NY which will feature a memorial to the working
dogs of 9/11, an agility training center to be used by New York Search
and Rescue and similar groups and loads of space for all dogs, not just
Bedford residents.
The land was donated by the town of Bedford and a Forest Service grant
helped finance the memorial. and Bedford DOG (Dog Owners Group) is
raising money to cover the price tag of $360,000. No date mentioned when
the park will officially open.
