Anyone who tells me that Specialties are the best place to promote a breed is off their rocker... All you are doing is promoting your breed to other people who already have your breed. What good does that do this day in age? With dog breeders and purebred dogs getting such a bad wrap, we need to utilize both specialties (to promote your dogs to other breeders) and all-breed shows, to promote our breed to the public. If I went to a GSD specialty, I would be one more GSD, when I go to all-breed shows, my dogs get to schmooze with the public and be good PR ambassadors amongst other breed people.
