Good morning everyone and welcome to Tuesday's edition of Sheri's Free Stuff
and Contests newsletter. A great big welcome to all of our newest members.
We had 7 new board members and 7 new newsletter members yesterday!!
Welcome and I hope you find a ton of freebies!!
Yesterday afternoon we took the two youngest to go and see Ice Age for my 6
yr olds birthday. It was the cutest movie. The 6 yr old loved it but my 2
yr old got just a little bit restless towards the end and kept saying it's
time to go now.
But all in all I enjoyed it. We saw the trailor for the new Scooby Doo
movie coming out soon and I have just got to see that one. It looks really
good!
It is such a yucky day here in Kentucky today. More rain. My backyard was
flooded this morning when I got up..and it just keeps on raining. The
weather says it supposed to rain through tomorrow. I may have to get a boat
out to get
out of the yard if it keeps this up.
I went and visited mom last night and my sis in law that just had the
hysterectomy was there. I couldn't believe how wonderful she looked. Thanks
everyone for all your prayers I know it was God that has helped my family
get through
all these surgeries lately.

I have one prayer request and one birthday to announce today.
My sister Donna yesterday learned that she has a strep virus that is very
contagious. It started with blisters on the outside of her face and then
went into her neck. Please pray for her.
I also want to wish my son Christian a very Happy Birthday today. He is 6
yrs old and so excited. He asked me this morning if being 6 means he can
jump higher and run faster. I told him yeah I think it does. So he started
jumping
up and down and asking me " Am I getting any higher mom?" so cute. If anyone
would like to send Christian a birthday greeting you may send it to my

Just got in from the box and opened up all my goodies!! Today I got a full

Flies
A farmer got pulled over by a state trooper for speeding, and the trooper
started to lecture the farmer about his speed, and in general began to throw
his weight around to try to make the farmer uncomfortable.
Finally, the trooper got around to writing out the ticket, and as he was
doing that he kept swatting at some flies that were buzzing around his head.
The farmer said, "Having some problems with circle flies there, are ya?" The
trooper stopped writing the ticket and said, "Well yeah, if that's what they
are called -- I never heard of circle flies."
So the farmer says, "Well, circle flies are common on farms. See, they're
called circle flies because they're almost always found circling around the
back end of a horse."
The trooper says, "Oh," and goes back to writing the ticket. Then after a
minute he stops and says, "Hey...wait a minute, are you trying to call me a
horse's rear end?" The farmer says, "Oh no, officer. I have too much respect
for law enforcement to even think about calling you such a name."
The trooper says, "Well, that's a good thing," and goes back to writing the

From Our Recipe Corner:

S'Mores Bars
Ingredients:
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
2/3 cup sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups graham cracker crumbs
1/2 cup all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
8 (1.55 oz) Hershey's Milk Chocolate Bars
3 1/2 cups minature marshmallows
Instructions:
1. Heat oven to 350 F. Grease 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
2. In large bowl, beat butter. Add sugar; beat on medium speed of
electric mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla. Stir in
graham cracker crumbs, flour and salt. Set aside 2 1/2 cups graham
cracker crumb mixture. Press remaining mixture into bottom of
prepared pan.
3. Place chocolate bars, side by side, breaking to fit, if necessary,
on top of mixture in pan. Sprinkle marshmallows evenly on top of
chocolate bars in pan. Crumble reserved graham cracker crumb
mixture on top of marshmallows.
4. Bake 30 minutes. Cool 10 minutes in pan on wire rack. Cut into
bars. Cool completely. About 24 bars.
