Good Afternoon and Welcome To Sheri's Free Stuff and Contests Newsletter
I want to apologize for the last newsletter that I sent out. Our mail
server was causing a bit of problems and sent it out numerous times, causing
many people to unsubscribe from the newsletter. Thanks to those who stuck it
out and knew that it was a mistake and not intentional. For now I am
stuck using the same mail server as before. Not enough funds to get a pay site.
I was hoping to be able to get a site that I could send html as
well as text newsletters out. Maybe in the near future.
I want to say a Big Sheri's Free Stuff welcome to all of our newest
subscribers and members! It is great having you here with us!! I hope you
will find many great freebies and contests! If you only a subscriber to the
newsletter and haven't yet registered on the forum please do so. I
love being able to greet all our new members and meeting each and every one of
you!
Today I have a special prayer request for my brother and his wife.
My brother and his wife are going through a child custody dispute. My brother
and his wife have raised their daughter from the time that she was 2
weeks old and she is goingto be 5 in July. This past weekend the birth mother
picked the child up for a visit and left a letter in their mailbox
saying she was not going to return the child. This child only knows my brother
and his wife as her parents. She loves them very very much and has
called my brother crying for him to come and get her. She is their whole world
since they have never been able to have children of their own. They
do have an attorney and chances are pretty good that they will get her back.
Please pray for them to be strong through out this whole thing. It is
tearing them apart.
Pray that because of this that "Angel" my neice will not have any bad affects
from this whole experience.

Scare Mail!!!
Most of you have read the scare-mail
about the person whose kidneys
were stolen while he was passed
out-well read on.
While that was an "urban legend"
this one is not.
It's happening everyday....
My thighs were stolen from me during
the night of August 3rd a
few years ago. It was just that quick.
I went to sleep in my body and
woke up with someone else's thighs.
The new ones had the texture of
cooked oatmeal. Who would have
done such a cruel thing to legs
that had been wholly, if
imperfectly, mine for years?
Whose thighs were these? What
happened to mine?
I spent the entire summer looking
for them. I searched, in vain,
at pools and beaches, anywhere I
might find female limbs exposed.
I became obsessed. I had nightmares
filled with cellulite and
flesh that turns to bumps in the night.
Finally, hurt and angry, I resigned
myself to living out my life
in jeans and Sheer Energy pantyhose.
Then, just when my guard was
down, the thieves struck again.
My buns were next. I knew it was the
same gang because they took
pains to match my new derriere
(although badly attached at least
three inches lower than the original)
to the thighs they had stuck
me with earlier. Now my rear
complimented my legs, lump for lump.
Frantic, I prayed that long
skirts would stay in fashion.
It was 2 years ago when I realized
my arms had been switched. One
morning while fixing my hair, I watched,
horrified but fascinated,
as the flesh of my upper arms swung
to and fro with the motion of
the hairbrush. This was really getting scary.
My body was beingreplaced, cleverly and
fiendishly, one section at a time.
Age? Age had nothing to do with it.
Age was supposed to creep up,
noticed and intangible, something
like maturity. NO, I was being
attacked, repeatedly and without warning.
During one spring, my attention
was riveted to upper arms... female
arms. I studied them from every
angle, being careful not to raise
mine in public or flatten them
too tightly against my body.
In private, I held them straight out
and did endless circles that
would have tightened my real arms
but did nothing for these new
"Silly-Putty" caricatures.
In the end, in deepening despair,
I gave up my T-shirts. What could
they do to me next? My eyes began
to remind people that they needed
a new pair of Hush Puppies. My poor
neck disappeared more quickly
than the Thanksgiving turkey
it now reminded me of.
That's why I've decided to tell my story;
I can't take on the medical profession by myself.
Women of America, wake up and smell
the coffee! That isn't really "plastic" those
surgeons are using. You know where they're
getting those replacement parts, don't you?

Little known facts about COKE & BOUNCE
BOUNCE...the stuff you use in your dryer:
Repels mosquitoes. Tie a sheet
of Bounce through a belt loop when
outdoors during mosquito season.
Eliminates static electricity from
your television screen. Since
Bounce is designed to help eliminate
static cling, wipe your television screen
with a used sheet of Bounce to
keep dust from resettling.
Dissolves soap scum from shower doors.
Clean with a used sheet of Bounce.
Freshens the air in your home.
Place an individual sheet of Bounce in
a drawer or hang one in the closet.
Prevents thread from tangling. Run a
threaded needle through a sheet
of Bounce to eliminate the static
cling on the thread before sewing.
Eliminates static cling from pantyhose.
Rub a damp, used sheet of Bounce
over the hose.
Prevents musty suitcases. Place an
individual sheet of Bounce inside empty
luggage before storing.

crumpled-up piece of Reynolds Wrap
aluminum foil dipped in Coke.
To clean corrosion from car battery terminals:
Pour a can of Coke
over the terminals to bubble
away the corrosion.
To loosen a rusted bolt: Applying
a cloth soaked in Coke to the
rusted bolt for several minutes.
To bake a moist ham: Empty a can of
Coke into the baking pan;
wrap the ham in aluminum foil, and bake.
Thirty minutes before the ham
is finished, remove the foil, allowing the
drippings to mix with the Coke for a
sumptuous brown gravy.
To remove grease from clothes: Empty a
can of Coke into a load of greasy
clothes, add detergent, and run through
a regular cycle. The Coke will
help loosen grease stains.

Red Velvet Cake Thanks Sarasmiles for this yummy recipe!
Butter and flour for cake pans
2 cups sifted cake flour
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa (Dutch process, European style)
1/4 pound unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 1/2 cups sugar
3 eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon vinegar (any kind)
1 cup buttermilk
1 tablespoon red food coloring dissolved in 2 tablespoons boiling water
1 recipe boiled icing (see below)
1/3 cup flaked dried coconut, optional
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Lightly butter and flour two 9-inch cake pans.
Shake off excess flour.
Resift the cake flour with cinnamon, baking powder, baking soda, salt and
cocoa.
Cream the butter and sugar with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add
the eggs and vanilla and mix until incorporated. Combine the vinegar,
buttermilk and red food coloring.
Alternately add buttermilk and flour mixture to the creamed butter, stirring
well after each addition. Transfer the batter to the prepared cake
pans and bake for 25 to 30 minutes or until a toothpick, when inserted in the
middle, comes out dry. Remove the cakes from the oven and cool in
the pans for 5 minutes. Remove from the pans and transfer to a cake rack to
cool. When thoroughly cool, brush off the crumbs and ice with a boiled
icing of your choice and dust with coconut if you wish.
Yield: 12 servings
Prep Time: 1 hour
Cook Time: 30 minutes
Difficulty: Easy
