Good morning everyone and welcome to today's edition of Sheri's Free Stuff
and Contest Newsletter!
I hope everyone's weekend is starting out good. It rainy here today. I
guess I shouldn't complain because of the beautiful weather we have had the
last couple of days. It actually hit 70 yesterday. My oldest
took the baby out to play yesterday and he loved it. First thing he did was
plop right down in a puddle of water that was standing in his riding car.
So with backend soacked he played and played. When it
was time to come in he threw a fit. Needless to say, he played so hard that
he fell right to sleep when he came in.
I want to say a very special welcome to all our new members today. We had a
total of 20 new subsribers to the newsletter and 7 new members to our board
since yesterday's newsletter!! Welcome each one of you!

I have two very special prayer requests today.
One of our dear readers Leslie wrote yesterday:
Sheri I would like to ask for a prayer request. I am not sure if this is one
or not. I am having a tough time in my life right now and my hubby and I are
fighting alot about issues that I can not understand. I want another child
but he says we have to get out of the other problems first. I wish he would
see out of my heart and understand how I feel and mend both our hearts to
love each other again. I ask for the prayer of that we can understand each
other all the way and compromise on the baby issue and the house issue.
Also to say a prayer for my sister who has MS and she could use all the
strength that she can get.

Hello Sheri,
I have a request for prayers as well as a favor of you to list a link for me
My little Dawson has Neurofibromatosis www.nf.org and we are hoping for a
cure. The only way that will happen is through prayer
and research. I have started selling things on ebay to raise money for that
research and a cure. My user name on ebay is doclorrie. www.ebay.com I sell
pretty much anything..some things that have been donated,
some that I have purchased and some things that I have found at thrift
stores. I always try to have something on that is donation only where the
person can take whatever they buy and use it as a tax write off. They just
make out their money order directly to the NNFF.
I believe we were chosen to have this special little guy so that we could
make a difference for him and all the little ones with NF. I am doing what
I can to help raise awareness and funds.
I guess it has become my mission as a mom to not let him down. I want to be
able to look him in the eye as an adult and tell him I did all I could. (I
choose to believe that he will make it into adulthood).
If you don't feel like you can, I understand and appreciate your time.

THE PRICE OF RAISING KIDS:
I have seen repeatedly the breakdown of the cost of raising a child, but
this is the first time I have seen the rewards listed this way. It's nice,
really nice!!
The government recently calculated the cost of raising a child from birth to
18 and came up with $160,140 for a middle income family. Talk about sticker
shock! That doesn't even touch college tuition.
But $160,140 isn't so bad if you break it down. It translates into $8,896.66
a year, $741.38 a month, or $171.08 a week.

local farmer came to help with his big strong horse named Buddy.
He hitched Buddy up to the car and yelled, "Pull, Nellie, pull!" Buddy didn
t move.

Once more the farmer commanded, "Pull, Coco, pull!" Nothing.

The motorist was most appreciative and very curious. He asked the farmer why
he called his horse by the wrong name three times.
"Well... Buddy is blind and if he thought he was the only one pulling, he

Heating Pad Sock
Use athletic socks or children's fancy socks. Fill sock with rice. Before
using the rice, you can mix it in a plastic bag with a little cinnamon oil
or menthol oil for soothing smells. Tie top of sock off with a rubber band
