A great Big Sheri's Free Stuff Welcome to all of our newest members and
subscribers! It is great having you join me today. I hope everyone had a
wonderful weekend. Still didn't get to swim this weekend. Just when I thought
I could stand the cold water in the pool, a great big storm came
along and washed that idea out of my head. Hopefully today sometime I will get
a chance to get in. It is really pretty today, just not as warm as
it was yesterday. I also want to thank everyone for the nice e-mails I received
Friday after I sent out my newsletter. I really love getting e-
mails from my members and subscribers and it makes me feel great to know that
so many of you enjoy reading my e-mails. Thanks again and keep them
coming. If any of you have a funny story, or poem that you would like to share
with all of our readers please feel free to e-mail me and I'll post

Here are some e-mails I have to share with everyone today.
This is just a little note to say thanks for your news letter it is always a
day brightener and your little funnies are so much understood and appreciated
by this 40 something mother who remembers the time when things were alot less
complicated. I am
also a fellow Kentuckian as well and proud of it.

Would you please wish my sister Mary a happy birthday on the 27th of June. I
am going back down south and she will be up in Indiana all by herself.
I am the only one out of our siblings that cares about her. You see Sheri,
for 11 years she put her life on hold so she could care for our
parents 24/7 until the day that they both passed away in our childhood home.
Now she has been kicked in the teeth by our brothers and told by them that she
should have died too. So please for me if you and Jeff does not
mind keep her in mind on the 27th of this
month.

Pet Tips
How to get a cat to swallow a pill:
1) Hold her body under one arm and open her mouth with both hands
2) drop pill as far back in her throat as it will go
3) rub underneath her throat til she swallows it
Don't leave dryer sheets around where your pets can get to them! They will make
them VERY SICK!
The best way to rid your pet of Fleas is to use a Flea Comb. Comb your pet,
remove everything from the comb and drop into a cup of warm water with some
dishsoap. The fleas can't breath and will die. It will take several thourough
combings to rid your pet of all of the fleas and eggs but you will not need to
use toxic sprays, dips, powders, or collars!
Remove pet hair from Furniture by rubbing a dryer sheet over it.
Quick Cleanup Cat Litter - Line your litter pan with a plastic kitchen garbage
bag before adding the litter. When it's time to change the litter, simply lift
out the bag, tie it off and throw it all away.
To cut down on the odor from your cat's litter box mix in some baking soda
When cleaning up cat urine - DON'T use anything that contains ammonia. The
ammonia only attracts the cat right back to the spot to pee again.

From Our Recipe Corner
SNICKERS CANDY BARS
1/4 C. light corn syrup
2 T. butter
1 T. vanilla extract
1/8 C. peanut butter
1 dash salt
3 C. confectioners' sugar
35 unwrapped Kraft caramels
1 C. dry-roasted unsalted peanuts
1 (12 oz.) bag milk-chocolate chips
With the mixer on high speed, combine the corn syrup, butter, vanilla
extract, peanut butter and salt until creamy. Slowly add confectioners'
sugar. When the mixture becomes dough-like, remove it from the bowl, and
press it into a lightly greased 9-inch square pan. Put in the
refrigerator.
Melt the caramels in a small pan over low heat. When the caramel is
soft, mix in peanuts. Pour the mixture over the refrigerated nougat in
the pan. Let this cool in the refrigerator.
When the refrigerated mixture is firm, melt the chocolate over low heat
in a double boiler or in a microwave oven set on high for 2 minutes,
stirring halfway through cooking time.
When the mixture in the pan has hardened, cut it into 2 x 1-inch
sections. Set each chunk onto a fork and dip into the melted chocolate.
Tap the fork against the side of the bowl or pan to knock off any excess
chocolate. Place the chunks on wax paper to cool at room temperature
(less than 70ºF). This may take several hours, but the bars will set
best this way. You can speed up the process by placing the bars in the
refrigerator for 30 minutes.
Yields about 2 dozen bars.
