Thanks for the updates! I am reaching out to add support to Adara’s
suggestion. I would love to see a more inclusive name for our club that
would better reflect all of the families that are currently or may
eventually become members of our community!

friends and perhaps future friends, I’d be so happy to see the name changed
to The Parents Club of Sharon. I think it’d be great for our children to

this year you will pay this January. For simplicity we will have all
members pay their dues during the month of January and if it is not paid by
February you will be removed from the Facebook group.
We would change our name to The Moms Club of Sharon (no longer MOMS)
We will ask members for their help in planning and hosting events so that
new members can get more involved over time.
*We can use member dues to pay for fun parties and mixers for the group
since we no longer are a charitable non-profit! *
*WHAT WOULD STAY THE SAME*
We can still remain a tax-free non-profit because we will be making less
than $5000 annually from members dues. We would still have a board and
monthly meetings to plan events.
We will still make sure that there are events on the calendar that will
appeal to a variety of interests and needs (ie. MOMS Night Out,
educational, playground meetups, weekends/weekdays social events, etc)
We will make sure that our mission and organizational structure remain
clearly defined so that future boards can continue the mission of the
current Sharon MOMS Club.
*It sounds ridiculous but International MOMS Club states that if any
single club member votes ‘against’ disbanding then the club cannot disband,
and everyone who voted that they wanted to disband will be kicked out of
the club (without a reimbursement of dues). In that case the whole board
would be kicked out since we all are voting to disband. This would be
problematic for the club ****.*
*If you do not respond we are assuming support of disbanding. If you do
