Distinguishing Traits: A quick wit and sharp intellect
mean she can turn her hand to almost anything
technical. She taking things to pieces to see how they
work, what makes them tick. Her seeming sense of
superiority tend to rub people up the wrong way, while
her cutting comments drive them to distraction. But
her saving grace is her almost telepathic abilities
with anything technical and her unnatural fascination
with explosives. If you need something to go bang,
just say the word and you won?t see it for dust!

Background:
Born the daughter of a Scottish laird, she was
educated at an English boarding school so has no hint
of her natural accent. To the horror of her parents
she joined the academy and trained to be an engineer.
Her first assignment was to the USS Tolstoy, a
Rigel-class starship, whose first mission was Wolf 359
where it was destroyed. Caitlenn was among the few
crew members who managed to survive in escape pods and
was picked up by a rescue vessel.
She was so thoroughly traumatized that she refused to
serve on another ship and returned to the Academy to
do post-graduate training. Her experience made her
fascinated by weapons, to be more accurate starship
weapons and explosives. She left the Academy at 25,
when she discovered that there was no way for her
knowledge to expand beyond what she knew.
She left Earth and used her engineering skills to
barter passage across the alpha quadrant. She
found that she was most appreciated on Bajoran ships
and so headed to Bajor. On the way, the Dominion War
began and the ship she was currently on was attacked,
killing most of the crew and half of the passengers.
The few left alive were disorganized, so Caitlenn
used her short temper and loud voice to gain control
of the situation. She took command of the scow. Under
her command it is repaired, but still needed several
parts.
Durinng the early part of the Dominion War, the scow,
named the Phoenix by its new crew, acted as weapons
smugglers between the Cardassian Empire and Bajor.
They hear of a mine field with a few abandoned 'Fleet
ships and considered it ripe for picking.
