News Items-
1- We recently deleted all email accounts on the listserver and then
added ALL email accounts back to the listserver.
If you get this email- our change worked as planned. Sorry for any
confusion we may have caused in trying to update the list.
2- Computer Meeting Planning Session: There will be a 2010 program
planning meeting at the Rec Center Feb 5 at 1pm in the Fiesta Room.
If you are available to attend and help determine the topics for
upcoming 2010 meetings please feel free to attend.
We would really like your input.
At the last computer meeting Pat Scherer passed around a suggestion
sheet. We will be discussing those inputs and other topics
brought up at the Feb 5 meeting. We are trying to reach out and
gather ideas from the membership.
If you cannot attend and have a topic to request feel free to email
Chuck at ( chuck@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx ).
3- The Tech Team has installed another device to help our members
view the computer screens. They are test driving the monitor HOLDER
on the system in the corner of the computer room. Try out the device
- you can move/adjust the monitor to your desired height, or move it
forward and backward. If you like it - pls let us know. You can make
a note on the sign in sheet or send an email. Your input will allow
us to determine the utility of the device and assist in the decision
to purchase additional devices for the other monitors.
4- Next General Meeting is Feb 24 (Wednesday) at 10am. Note the first
3 months of 2010 the days and times keep changing due to room
availability. Later, beginning in April the meetings will settle down
and be on the same day and time for the rest of the year.
5- Classes are posted in the Computer Room for Feb., Sign up for the
classes at the front desk
Feb 2 9-10am CD Burning
Feb 11 9-10am Word 2007
Feb 12 10-11am Excel I
Additional classes are listed on the sheets at the Front Desk. for
the weeks of Feb 15, Feb 22, Mar 1
6- To all our daily computer users - the calendar of Classes is
posted inside the Computer Room on the bulletin board. Note the 4
systems 3,4 and the two behind systems 3,4 will be used when classes
are taught. Plan accordingly since there will be a drain on the
available computer during the training months.
